It is only now that the sheer scale and organisation of Saturday's trouble is becoming apparent.
Rather than the spontaneous uprising against the club's owners it initially appeared to be, it has now been established hundreds of supporters were involved, communicating with mobile phones, and creating small-scale problems, in a concerted effort to get security staff away from their designated areas to leave the directors' box, in particular, vulnerable.
Sixty staff are employed at London Stadium on matchdays with the specific brief to keep fans off the pitch. It has been established that on Saturday, 85% of those attempts were repelled."
hahaha! If only Morgan & Swallow knew about our level of organisation they would have rejected the bung from the start!

Stone's original report said that protestors were organising inside the stadium via mobiles. I complained to the BBC that the mobile reception inside the stadium precluded this. Then eventually that original Stone's report was replaced with something more resembling events.
I actually said that Stone had received his information from someone within the SAG but you said it was definitely from someone within the club. You have so far not provided any proof of this.
I'll quote this from the BBC reply to me.
"Simon Stone’s additional reporting, which added some further details around the findings of the SAG, was based on a credible senior source from outside the club itself".
That is pretty clear.

I have brought this post back up because following Simon Stone's report I complained to the BBC about how misleading this story had been.
I went through their official complaints procedure and to be fair to them they followed it up and have subsequently replied.
The reply goes thus;

We’ve received a variety of feedback from our readers and we’re finding that there are many different views and observations about various aspects of our coverage. For this reason and to allow us to reply promptly to your concerns, and to ensure we use our licence fee and staff resources as efficiently as possible, we’re sending this response to everyone who's contacted us.
We'd explain that the central news story in question here was based largely on the statement from the Safety Advisory Group, which contains all of the key stakeholders responsible for the running of the London Stadium, and their investigation into what happened at the match against Burnley.
Simon Stone’s additional reporting, which added some further details around the findings of the SAG, was based on a credible senior source from outside the club itself.
The following morning, Simon received additional information from other credible sources involved in the story and further information was added to the article accordingly. This resulted in the following amendments being made to the text, which included reaction from some of the supporters who were there:
BBC Sport has been told by more than one source some of the problems were organised, with fans communicating on mobile phones before the game outside the stadium to create small scale problems, in a concerted effort to distract.
A number of supporters present on the day dispute this version of events, although the SAG statement talks of "unprecedented levels of disorder". However, senior sources have also said that the numbers of security staff in attendance were insufficient to deal with the problem as a whole.
We accept it would have given a fuller picture if we had included some of the supporters’ reaction in the original story, and we are therefore very grateful for your feedback on this matter.

If any journo writes a story digging out the fans, simply ask them for the evidence they’re basing their story on.
Usually they’ll try to justify it by saying they have a “reliable source” which usually means Brady, Sullivan or someone connected to them.
If they can’t provide any evidence then why write the story?

I tweeted the journo to ask him to clarify the story. As others have said the story has since been changed to claim people were organising small scale disturbances in order to distract, before the match outside the stadium. Makes no sense. Either he was sold a pup or he's making it up.

I have submitted a complaint to the BBC about the reporting of the SAG group meeting and their comments about supposed pitch incursions prevented and the directors box confrontation. Simon Stones’s report today is different from last night mainly due to the realisation that coordinating by mobile inside the stadium is impossible for most of us. What is not stated by Stone is precisely where his information comes because although he quotes more than one alleged source he does not tell us if these sources are just from the club or alternatively from parties making up the SAG.

Wonder what would happen if we got bought out by some rich Russian oligarch within the Putin regime? Nerve agent laced half time oranges for the opposition? Like Lasagne-gate but on a deadlier scale. We'd probably still find a way to sod it up and lose the match. Harry Kane's lifeless body is still capable of beating Joe Hart.
